Book Description
Christians, Jews, and Muslims, along with millions of others, agree that Jesus was, at the very least, a great spiritual teacher and prophet.
Furthermore, many modern-day historians and archeologists accept the primary events surrounding Jesus Christ's life, and the record continues to be further substantiated with each new archaeological discovery.
Religion and science are not a problem. However, like government, they have been corrupted by misguided or corrupt individuals. This adds to the confusion and chaos in the world. This was the case during the ministry of Jesus and still today. Furthermore, your well-being and spiritual growth hang in the balance.
There is what is taught about Jesus, but this varies depending on which school of thought you subscribe to. Regardless, there is plenty of controversy regarding who Jesus is and what He taught.
Christianity grew to be the largest religion on Earth. Modern Christianity teaches that Jesus was God in human form. Furthermore, that God is separate from you. And finally, that you're a sinner who's fallen in grace, and although you're undeserving, you must earn your way back.
But is this what Jesus taught? Jesus was the most influential spiritual teacher in human history; he was also severely persecuted. Why? That is precisely what we dive into and much more in Understanding Jesus. If you find traditional religious teaching confusing or lacking in some way, you'll gain insight and comfort reading Understanding Jesus. If you happen to be open to a personal relationship with Jesus, that's what you'll find!
