The Story Behind the Book
I’ve lived a life shaped by three continents—born in Australia, raised in South Africa, and living in the UK since 2001. Along the way, I’ve had many different careers, adventures, challenges, and experiences that have shaped who I am. After suffering a heart attack in 2025, I felt it was time to bring together 51 of the most memorable stories from my life and share the adventures, risks, humor, people, places, and lessons I’ve collected along the way.

At the heart of this book is the question of how the experiences, choices, risks, and unexpected moments in our lives shape the people we become.
