Johnny Mars is a detective in the year 2237. Humanity has finally stretched out from Earth and colonized the solar system. There are robots, asteroid mines, and hundreds of other things that were once only considered Science Fiction. Energy efficient rockets can now travel between planets and moons on safe nuclear power with minimal accidents. With people on planets and space stations all throughout the solar system, there is now a unifying Republic with representatives from all colonies. Of course, with humanity spread out and new futuristic technology this means that crime is on a grander scale. To combat crime and keep justice in the solar system the Republic created the Republic Rangers and the Republic Police Department. These two departments work together to keep the solar system safe. The Republic Rangers, known as R.R., are humanities defense force for larger disasters such as asteroids, plagues, and when terraforming goes wrong. The Republic Police Department, RPD, are humanities police and detectives. The new Head Detective of Jupiter Station, or Sector J as it is called, is Johnny Mars, a pale 42-year-old man with an old school 2000’s era short blond haircut, average height, and dark green eyes. Johnny has been with the department for nine years and 2237 is his first year as Head Detective. A mystery a hundred years in the making is about to be delivered to his station.
