Couldn't put the book down! Initially I thought that the story would primarily about being a transplant donor. Instead, it was a delightful read about a real life "character" (and Eldonna is a character) with flaws and strengths who puts herself on the line to give a total stranger a new life. Edwards' book reads as though you were having conversation with her at her local coffee shop - she is neither pretentious or self promoting. What was most remarkable is that an ordinary woman was able to do such an extraordinary act.
