I wrote this book for many reasons. Mainly - it wrote me. This book is the first in the fictional Jagged series. Although it's fiction, it's very much driven by my understanding and experience. I am a recovering addict. I also work in the field of addictions in a local treatment center.

The book takes you on a ten year journey into the life of a young woman. The main character Lyndsey, is a dark protagonist who is one of the many walking wounded among us. Her home life is one filled with turbulence and chaos. Lyndsey harbors a vast hole, an emptiness, she seeks to fill. She finds her cure in a little white pill. The experience is so euphoric she can't wait to try it again. There's only one problem. The euphoria wears off. Now that she's found the solution she's prepared to do anything to keep it. And she does.

This is a graphic raw and edgy read. You`ll relate to Lyndsey - for she`s a little piece of all of us. You`ll root for her as if she`s family. You`ll feel like you've known her always. And her gift to you?
